Approximately 100,000 cubic meters of material shall be dredged. Dredge limits shall be to -5.5 meters mean lower low water (MLLW), with a 0.5 meter over depth. Disposal shall be at the LA-2 offshore disposal site. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1629, Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, $13.5 M average annual gross revenue for the last (3) three fiscal years. Estimated cost range is from $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about August 14, 1998 at a cost of $8.00 half-size bound in and $15.00 full size -- non refundable. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Small and disadvantaged firms are encouraged to participate as Prime Contractors or as members of joint ventures with other small businesses. In addition all interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of Public Law 95-507. To be considered small, a firm must perform the dredging of at least 40% of the yardage with its own dredging equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
