Air Transducer Units (ATU) and Barometric Pressure Units (BPU) SOL N00421-98-Q-1095 DUE 083198 POC Jennifer Alvey, Contract Specialist, (301)757-9074 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, intends to procure 14 each Barometric Pressure Units (BPU) (Computer Instruments Corporation, Part Number 02632-MODA, National Stock Number 0098-LL-Z98-M883 and 17 each Air Transducer Units (ATUs) (Computer Instruments Corporation, Part Number 02884-1, National Stock Number 0098-LL-Z98-T208) for the Pioneer Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Program which currently supports the Navy and Marine Corps by providing logistic support to the fleet users. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis with Computer Instruments Corporation, 1000 Shames Drive, Westbury, New York 11590. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Computer Instruments Corporation is the only authorized manufacturer of the BPUs and the ATUs and is the original equipment manufacturer. This will be a firm fixed price contract.
