The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to solicit technical and price proposals for TR-321() Transducers and Cables. First Article Acceptance Testing (FAAT)will be required. If supplies identical or substantially identical to those called for herein have been previously furnished by the offeror and accepted by the Government, the requirement for first article approval may be waived by the Contracting Officer. TR-321() Transducers: Three First Article units will be required for FAAT. First year production quantity is up to 60 units. Second, third, fourth and fifth year production quantity is up to 100 units per year. TR-321 NCC Cable 150 Ft: One First Article Unit will be required. First year production quantity is up to 23 units. Second, third, fourth and fifth year production quantity is up to 120 units per year. TR-321 NCC Cable 20 Ft: Two First Article Units will be required. First year production quantity is up to 5 units. Second, third, fourth and fifth year production quantityis up to 120 units per year. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value. Evaluation factors: Technical Capability including past performance and price. Acquisition is unrestricted. Acquisition history: International Transducer Corp, Santa Barbara, CA previously provided TR-321C transducers. Drawings for the TR-321() Transducer and NCC Cables will not be provided with the solicitation package. The drawings are available for the cost of preparation and transmittal. The cost of electronic transfer of the drawings is $280 per set. The cost of reproduction and hardcopy of drawings is $400 per set. SIC Code is 3812. Anticipated RFP release is September 1998.
