laura.goodman@gsa.gov. This solicitation numbered FCGE-98-C1-0160B is
a standing solicitation, which will be merged in with Federal Supply
Schedule Groups 74, Parts II and III, Office Machines, (typewriters,
dictation equipment, mail room equipment, and calculators),and Federal
Supply Schedule Group 74 Part IV, High Density Filing, Recordkeeping
and Desktop Equipment. This solicitation will result in a Multiple
Award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract. The WEB site
address (http: eps.arnet.gov)is where the solicitation will be
available on or about August 6, 1998. The scope of this solicitation
has been increased to include international coverage. Resulting
contracts will cover the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto
Rico, the District of Columbia, and FOB destination for overseas
delivery. This solicitation will remain in effect unless amended and/or
replaced by an updated solicitation. There is no closing date for
receipt of offers; therefore, offers may be submitted at any time
during the life of this solicitation. Contract awards resulting from
this solicitation will be for a period of five (5) years after date of
award (DOA). In addition the Multiple Award Schedule solicitations
will become "Standing" opportunities for new offers. This means that
new offers may be forwarded to the Bid Room at General Services
Administration, IFB/RFP FCGE-98-C1-0160B, FSS Bid Room (Room L108),
1941 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202, at any time. Offers
will be accepted for models identical to those currently awarded.
Contracts awarded under this solicitation will be for a five (5) year
period, unless further extended pursuant to any option to extend the
term of the contract, or cancellation sooner. All resulting contracts
will include an option to extend the term of the contract up to 60
