D -- SIRIUS CONTRACT EXTENSION SYNOPSIS POC Ms. Sandy Ainsworth, Contract Specialist, 410-786-5143 The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to enter into negotiations with Sirius Software, Inc., and issue a modification to contract number 500-95-0023 to extend the contract for a 36 month option renewal from September 30, 1998 through September 29, 2001. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) for the following software products: SirMon, SirPro, SirAud, Fast/Reload, Fast/Unload, Fast/Cram, Trusted Login for RACF, Sir2000 Language Tools, and SirField. The licenses are for proprietary software inclusive of annual maintenance and customer support for Sirius Software currently installed at the HCFA Data Center. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Agency's requirements. If no affirmative written documentation is received within fifteen (15) calendar days of this synopsis, HCFA will proceed with negotiations to issuea contract modification to Sirius Software, Inc.
