Wainwright,Contract Specialist (301)757-8973 or Janice Woehrer,Contracting Officer (301)757-8961 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract for organizational, selected intermediate, and limited deport level maintenance of 16-20 Canadian CF-5 aircraft operated by Navy Composite Squadron-Eight (VC-8) in the Continental United States and Puerto Rico. The CF-5 will be used in tactical training for Navy and Marine Corps Fighter/Strike Squadrons. The required organizational level maintenance will include such services as flight line servicing, inspecting, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts, minor assemblies and subassemblies. Intermediate level maintenance include such services as maintenance performed on aircraft engines, avionics, electrical equipment, support equipment, and the related component overhaul and repair. The required depot level maintenance includes such services as depot level repairs and modifications and additional non-standard repairs. The contractor is expected to meet the requirements of the daily flight schedule at the Navy and Marine Corps Air Stations in Key West, Florida and Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, as well as provide maintenance support for detachments of VC-8 CF-5 assets. The contractor shall also provide all material and support equipment necessary to accomplish specified maintenance. A firm fixed price contract for five years consisting of a base period and options is contemplated. Maintenance for the CF-5 aircraft will be provided via sole source contract with Bristol Aerospace Limited, P.O. Box 874, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2S4, the CF-5 original equipment manufacturer, using proprietary Canadian Forces technical documentation not available to the United States.
