National Park and Preserve is seeking two qualified concessioners to
provide and operate sport hunting guide services for the general
public. A prospectus has been developed that describes the nature of
services to be provided under the authority of concessions permits.
Specifically, offers will be accepted to provide sport hunting guide
services in designated areas of Denali National Preserve. Two permits
will be issued. The permit, application, and operating plan contains
important specific information which prospective applicants should read
carefully in order to obtain a greater understanding of the overall
operation prior to submitting an offer. The provisions of the Alaska
National Interest Lands Conservation Act (16 U.S.C. 3197), Section 1307
(b) do not apply to this solicitation. The provision of 36 CFR 51.5,
the "Right of Preference" which gives the right to an existing
satisfactory concessioner to a preference in the extension or renewal
of its permit concerning all or part of substantially the same servce,
do not apply to this solicitation. The two existing concessioners,
which have operated successfully and satisfactorily during the eight
years of the current permits, do not hold a right of preference for
this solicitation. Offers to provide commercial services will be
accepted during a 125 day period beginning on July 31, 1998 and ending
on December 3, 1998. Copies of the prospectus may be obtained by
writing to Superintendent, Denali National Park and Preserve, P.O. Box
9, Denali Park, Alaska, 99755. Offers must be received at the above
noted address on or before December 3, 1998 at 4:00pm. All interested
parties are encouraged to apply and the Secretary will consider and
evaluate all offers received as a aresult of this notice. Any offer
must be received by the Superintendent, Denali National Park and
Preserve, MP 237 Parks Hwy, P.O. Box 9, Denali Park, Alaska, 99755, not
later than December 3, 1998, to be considered and evaluated. For
