SIC Code for this acquisition is 4953. The RFP is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The Service Contract Act applies. The solicitation includes all services associated with the collection, disposal, and recycling of various nonhazardous solid wastes. Services involving other wastes may be added in the future. There are seven Special Item Numbers (SINs): (1) Waste/Trash collection and hauling without Recycling, using Government-furnished containers; (2) Waste/Trash collection and hauling without Recycling, using Contractor-furnished containers; (3) Collection and hauling of recyclables only, using Government-furnished containers; (4) Collection and hauling of recyclables only, using Contractor-furnished containers; (5) Waste/Trash collection and hauling with Recycling, using Government-furnished containers; and (6) Waste/Trash collection and hauling with Recycling, using Contractor-furnished containers; (99) Introduction of New Products/New Technology. This RFP includes the new standing solicitation provisions and does not have a closing date. This Federal Supply Schedule period will be continuous; it will not have a prescribed beginning or ending date. Contract periods will commence on the date of award (DOA) and expire five years from the DOA; the solicitation also includes an option to extend the contract period for an additional 5 years. Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts will be awarded, allowing for Task Orders based on Firm-Fixed Prices. It is expected that Federal agencies will enter into Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with firms awarded contracts under this solicitation. GSA is only issuing this RFP through the Electronic Posting System (EPS). GSA will not provide paper copies of this RFP.
