FROST, (301) 504-0444/1142 The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to utilize a firm-fixed price indefinite quantity contract with three one-year optional periods to procure Video News Releases (VNR's)and Distribution, and Satellite Media Tours. This Procurement provides TV news releases and video images, interviews, news conferences or demonstrations related to product recalls and safety information. Request for Proposal (RFP) CPSC-P-99-2001 will be issued on or about August 17, 1998 with proposals due on or about September 17, 1998. This solicitation is being re-issued for the purpose of clarifying the requirements of solicitation CPSC-P-99-1001. Offerors shall be able to produce, edit, and have the Video News Releases ready for satellite broadcast or in time for the 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time news broadcasts on the day of the CPSC news event. Offerors shall have in-house as direct employees a minimum of two (2), three (3) person video crews. Each video crew shall include a camera person, an audio person, and a producer. In addition, the Offerors shall have in-house editing capabilities, in-house satellite broadcasting capabilities, in-house SIGMA coding for evaluation, and in-house station notification systems. The Offerors shall be located within a fifty (50) mile radius of CPSC headquarters which is located in Bethesda, Maryland. Subcontracting of any type for the above required services is unacceptable. All previous offerors that requested solicitation CPSC-P-99-1001 need not request a copy of this new solicitation because a copy of this new solicitation will be automatically sent to them.
