Potential Sources Sought. This is not an RFP. The Naval Air Systems Command, Maritime Surveillance Program Office is seeking a Form/Fit/Function, COTS/NDI replacement for the S-3 T/M/S anti-collision light. The technology sought should minimize any redevelopment and non-recurring engineering. A new light design using strobe technology is the preferred solution. It is intended that the cost of any replacement will be approximately $3,500 or less per shipset (two lights per airplane). Approximately 120 shipsets plus spares will be procured and installed. It is intended that this new anti-collision light/strobe will be supportable through the life of the S-3 aircraft (to the year 2015).
