STATEMENT OF WORK Position: Aerobics Program 1. Subject to be taught: Step Aerobics and Low Impact Aerobics to include various aerobic movement varying use of steps to develop and improve cardiovascular and abdominal area using upper and lower muscle groups. 2. Place: FCI Danbury or Satellite Camp. Recreation Department gymnasium. 3. Schedule: Schedule based upon approximately 259 sessions. Four weekday evening sessions. Two weekend daytime sessions, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. 4. Teaching Supplies: Will be furnished by the Bureau of Prisons through the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution Recreation Department. Supplies are subject to approval by the Recreation Supervisor. Supplies are to be recommended by the contractor in a timely manner to support program. 5. Method of Instruction: Contractor is required to provide oral direction and demonstrate movement routines. Contractor may use the Recreation Department's stereo system to teach aerobic classes. Contractor is required to developmovement routines with music from cassettes. 6. Recreational Aerobics Program Management: The Contractor will be required to develop a curriculum consisting of lesson plans, with stated objectives and goals. Upon completion of program, contractor will conduct an evaluation. Contractor will control and account for inventory. The Recreation Supervisor is designated as the contract administrator and will provide assistance to the contractor on an as needed basis. 7. Inmate Management: Contractor will report daily to the Recreation Supervisor. Will maintain attendance daily. Will also report inmates present who are not registered in the class as well as any infraction or disruption that may occur. All required written reports regarding inmate progress will be submitted as required to the contract administrator for review and retention. 8. Institution Security: The Contractor agrees to adhere to all regulations prescribed by the institution for the safety, custody, and conduct, and conduct of inmates. The Contractor is required to attend and participate in an orientation training program prior to assuming institutional involvement. Reimbursement to the Contractors rate, prorated hourly. 9. Certification: Contractor will submit a current aerobics certification certificate with the bid package. 10. Payment: Payment will be made monthly and cumulative monthly pay voucher total will not exceed yearly budget allocation for contract. Posted 08/03/98 (W-SN231726). (0215)
