The United States Special Operations Command intends to extend the term of the contract to exercise the first production option for Equipment Load Carrying Systems (ELCS) which was awarded to Safariland, Ltd., Inc. Ontario, CA on 16 March 1998. The Phase II, 1st Option Year is for the production of First Article Test units, ELCS Production units, Instructional Videos and Spares. Contract No. USZA22-98-D-0008 was awarded for the fabrication and development of ELCS Product Demonstration Models and includes five one year production options which were awarded by authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1.
