williamsel.jfk@navair.navy.mil. The Naval Air Systems Command intends
to award a firm fixed price contract to Sikorsky Support Services,
Incorporated, (SSSI), P.O. Box 1087, 299 Airport Boulevard, Troy,
Alabama 36081, for the repair of a crash damaged HH-60H aircraft. The
aircraft sustained significant damage as a result of a wire strike and
high impact landing. A comprehensive examination and disassembly of
the aircraft is necessary to develop a detailed statement of work and
estimate to return an extensively damaged aircraft to serviceability.
The aircraft shall be repaired and reassembled to form, fit and
function of the configuration as it was prior to the crash. Sikorsky is
the sole designer and producer of the H-60 aircraft and alone possesses
the knowledge, data and experienced personnel required to accomplish
this effort within the timeframe required by the Fleet. Posted 08/04/98
