INDUSTRY CONFERENCE In conjunction with its customers the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Acquisition Center intends to develop and implement an omnibus program to acquire advisory and assistance services to support the AMCOM mission. It is expected that the program will utilize multiple awards made in tkhe broad areas of programmatic, technical and logistics support. The contracts should offer flexible pricing arrangements and improved ordering procedures. The program must support small and minority business goals. The consolidation of requirements will result in maximizing the use of dwindling resources and avoid duplication of efforts. The program will provide program executive officers, program managers and functional organizations with a broad range of expertise with which to satisfy requirements. The program will represent Team Redstone's best efforts to acquire responsive, high quality, cost effective services in a timely and efficient manner. An industry conference is scheduled for 1 Sep 98 at 0900 hours. The conference will be held in Building 5250, Room A115. Each firm desiring to attend should preregister attendees by sending a Visit Request to PEO Tactical Missiles Security Office; ATTN: Bobby Brooks at facsimile (256) 876-0878. The request is to provide the name, social security number and clearance information for each attendee. The request should also indicate the date and time of the conference. A copy of the request should also be forwarded to one of the Acquisition Center points of contact listed in the next paragraph. Although the conference is UNCLASSIFIED, Building 5250 is a secure building and requires that all visitors have a badge prior to entry. Visitors without a SECRET clearance will be admitted to the conference, but will require an escort by Government personnel. Preregistered attendees should arrive early enough to pick up badges upon arrival in the back lobby of Building 5250. Prior to the conference the contracting community is urged to submit specific questions which will be answered at the conference. These may be provided by mail, facsimile or e-mail.
