V -- INTERCITY PASSENGER BUS SERVICE SOL N00406-98-R-5097 DUE 090198 POC D. Clemens (360)476-8017 This notice modifies previously published notices on this procurement. Intercity bus charter service from/to Everett WA, awarded by lots as follows: LOT I (Everett-Seattle WA and return): Bus transportation of 329 to 423 passengers from Naval Station Everett to the Colman Dock Washington State Ferry Terminal, Seattle WA, each weekday morning with return trip to Everett each weekday afternoon. Bus service expected to commence in April 1999 for a maximum period of nine months with estimated usage of six months during that period. Lot II (Everett -- Bremerton and return): Bus transportation of approximately 188 to 376 passengers (increasing to an estimated maximum 658 passengers during July-Sept 1999) from the Naval Station Everett area (including the Smokey Point Navy Support Complex) to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (Bremerton WA) using a Washington State auto ferry, each weekday morning with return trip to Everett each weekday afternoon. In addition, service on the same route would be required for approximately 282 passengers on weekends and holidays. Bus service expected to commence in April 1999 for a maximum period of nine months with estimated usage of six months during that period. Both Lots: Contractor is responsible for vehicles, bus drivers, fuel, maintenance, Lot II state ferry charges, liability insurance, supervision, management, and compliance with all safety, security, and environmental regulations. Buses shall be furnished with high-back reclining seats, equipped with a restroom, and air-conditioned. Only bus carriers qualified by the Military Traffic Management Command are eligible for contract award. Contract award will be by lot; offerors may offer on one or both lots. Contract will be a firm, fixed-price requirements type awarded under procedures for commercial (FAR Part 12) services. The Service Contract Act applies. Evaluation factors for responsible offerors submitting technically acceptable offers include price and past performance.
