Z -- REPLACEMENT OF FIRE HYDRANTS SOL IFB 542-20-98 DUE 091498 POC Harry Pearson, Contract Specialist, (610) 383-0202 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to complete the replacement of 16 existing fire hydrants, which will include excavation and removal of old hydrants, installation of new hydrants with the national standard threads, thrust blocks, 6" valves with thrust blocks, telescoping expansion joints, and 6" valve boxes extended to grade, at this VA Medical Center. All work will be in accordance with the supplied specifications and contract drawings. This Solicitation is available for full and open competition. The cost range for this project is estimated between $10,000 and $100,000. Requests for a solicitation package must be in writing to the Contracting Officer along with a non-refundable fee of $25.00, in the form of a check made payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs. All requests must indicate the solicitation number, name of the project requested, complete company name, complete company address, company telephone and facsimile numbers, and the name of a contact person. This solicitation is subject to the availability of funds. The issue date for this solicitation is on or about 8/14/98.
