CONTRACT FOR MULTIDISCIPLINE SOL DTCGG1-98-R-3WK227 DUE 090998 POC
Frank Pfeiffer (401)736-1761 : A multiple award firm fixed price IDIQ
contract is required to provide professional A/E services on an as
needed basis. Joint ventures are not accepted. This acquisition is
unrestricted for Full and Open Competition SIC Code 8712. Typical
services required during the term of the proposed contract include: 1.
preparation of competitive bid constr contract documents including
design analysis, cost estimates, drawings and specifications involving
architectural, civil, structural, environmental, mechanical, and
electrical design for a wide variety of facilities including
industrial, residential, and institutional buildings (including
historic structures), waterfront structures, and utility lines. 2.
Architectural or engineering studies including development and
recommendation of cost effective alternatives, asbestos surveys,
technical documents, project proposals, surveying, interior design
services and space configuration analysis 3. Construction inspection,
review of contractor's submittals, preparation of as-built drawings and
related services. Specific scope of work and services will be issued
with each delivery order. Dwgs will be on virus-free MS-DOS formatted
diskettes using AutoCad Release 13 or 14. Individual orders will not
exceed $150K and the total base contract with two options will not
exceed $1.5 million for each awarded base contract. A minimum fee of
$5K is guaranteed under each contract. Firms will be evaluated on the
following criteria: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for
satisfactory performance in the following disciplines; architecture,
structural engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire protection,
interior design, space planning, landscape design, and historic
preservation (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in
industrial, residential, and institutional buildings including higher
education type facilities and historic structures and where
appropriate, experience in energy conservation, pollution prevention,
waste reduction, and the use of recovered materials 3. Capacity to
accomplish the work in the required time 4. Past performance on
contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of
cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance
schedules; 5. Location in the general geographical area of District 1
which includes Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode
Island, New York and New Jersey. 6. Minority and Women Employment.
