This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote (RFQ) is F65501-98-QM164 and will be issued on/about Aug 10, 1998, with the closing date of Aug 25, 1998 at 10:30A.M. Alaska Standard Time. Award will be made on/or about Sep 10, 1998. Elmendorf AFB, AK has a requirement of Security Guard Services, Location: Base Camp, Annette Bay, Annette Island and Maintenance Facility, Hemlock Bay, Annette Island, Alaska. Duration: 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, from Sep 25, 1998/3:00P.M. through Jan 15, 1999/12:00 with option to extend contract on either or both locations to Feb. 14, 1999/12:00P.M. or to Mar 15, 1999/12:00P.M.. A building with electrical wiring (110 volt AC) installed at the base camp location will be designated as the office for security personnel. Contractor will provide generator of sufficient voltage to meet their requirements. Contractor will provide all other materiel required to sustain and maintain security operations, i.e. generator, space heaters, water, food stuffs, transportation, and fuel. Contractor will be responsible for transporting all items required to sustain and maintain security operations. Contractor will also provide shelter at Hemlock Bay Maintenance Facility site. This solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12. Wage Determination 94-2017 Rev 14 applies. The standard industrial code (SIC) for this project is 7382. This solicitation is an RESTRICTED acquisition. The contractor providing security must be bonded ($1 million minimum) and insured.
