Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for laboratory
renovations at its Mid-Continent Ecology Division Laboratory, 6201
Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, MN. The Contractor will renovate two
existing lab spaces, rooms 118 and 119, located in the main lab
building. Lab 118 will be renovated for taxonomy preparation and is a
single module approximately 22' deep by 9.5' wide. Lab 119 will be
renovated for taxonomy work and is three modules in size. Work shall
include 1) removal of existing casework, benches, lighting, ceiling
grid/tile, floor tile, surface plumbing and wiring and other lab
services, and 2) installation of new flooring, ceiling grid/tile,
lighting, casework, bench space, plumbing fixtures and lab services.
Proper work sequencing is critical in order to reduce downtime and
disruption of research in adjacent space. The anticipated contract
performance period is 12 months after receipt of notice to proceed. The
estimated price range is between $100,000 and $200,000. There will be
no charge for solicitation documents. Requests for IFB PR-CI-98-12717
