A -- FOLLOW-ON DMMS SUPPORT SOL NMA202-98-Q-1155 POC Brian Wolfe, Contracting Officer, (301)227-7825, wolfeb@nima.mil IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) and (iii), the Government intends to procure on a sole source basis from Digital Solutions Multimedia Concepts, Inc. (DSMCi) 87 days of continuing interim support to transition operation of NIMA's Digital Media Management System to the agency. Award is anticipated on or before 24 August 1998. DSMCi's system integration and administration experience, its unique data implementation of classified material, requisite clearance and specialized knowledge of the system configuration is such that award to any other source would result in duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. There is no formal solicitation package available, this notice is simply an announcement of the Government's intent, not a request for proposals.
