U -- JCAHO PROCESS SURVEY TRAINING SOL RFQ 541-181-98 DUE 082098 POC Danny Freeman, Contracting Officer, (440) 838-6091 The VAMC, Brecksville, OH, intends to negotiate sole source with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), of Oakbrook Terrace, IL, to render complete JCAHO functional survey process training through Fiscal Year 1999. Requirements shall include, but not be limited to: 1) Training shall parallel the JCAHO move to functional standards and a functional survey process; 2) Training shall provide and focus on activities for quality assessment and improvement, utilizing the same format, facility pool and materials as official JCAHO surveyor training; 3) Contractor shall provide to each participant, publication of the 1999 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals. There is a reasonable basis to conclude that the supplies/services required are only available from this source. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by providing a capability statement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
