These projects involved the installation of local area network cabling, HVAC upgrade, electrical upgrade at eight (8) Fort Bragg schools. The intent of the project is to perform renovations that have been identified as requirements to support the DDESS technology program. Contract Duration 180 calendar days. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bids from large business firms must comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. Failure to submit a Subcontracting Plan and Pre-Award Information at time of bid opening may result in rejection of bid. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor's total planned subcontract amount to be placed with the following: 61.2% with small business; 9.1% with small disadvantaged business, 4.5% with women-owned small business, and 9.4% with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs). SIC Code is 1731 and the Small Business Size Standard is $7 million. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM, and/or the INTERNET. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD-ROM and the INTERNET. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the INTERNET as notification of any changes to this solicitation.
