Stang, Contracting Officer, (317)510-4702 The Defense Finance and Accounting Service -- Indianapolis Center (DFAS-IN) intends to contract for physical fitness facility services for 194 active duty military personnel and approximately 200 federal government civilian employees. The facility and services shall be in accordance with the specifications contained in the statement of work attached to Request for Proposals (RFP) MDA260-98-R-0002. The location of the facility shall be within walking distance (defined as being within one (1) mile) of DFAS-IN, which is located at 8899 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN. The contract shall be for the one (1)-year base period October 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999 and for a one (1)-year option period. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Past Performance/Technical and (2) Price. Past Performance/Technical is more important than Price. Award will be on a best-value basis.
