Service is soliciting for proposals for the facility upgrade project in
Livingston MT. The successful contractor shall provide all materials,
labor, supplies, equipment and services to construct the addition and
remodel to the USPS owned facility of approximately 7,780 square feet
on two sites totaling approximately 29,130 square feet. The location of
the Post Office is 105 N. Second St., Livingston MT. 59047-9998. Work
includes but is not limited to demolition, earthwork, site utilities
and site improvements, paving, landscaping and irrigation. Work also
includes concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, steel structure, steel
joists and decking, roof membrane over roof insulation, sheet metal,
masonry, metal stud partitions, insulation, gypsum board walls and
ceilings, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring,
carpeting, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, glass storefront
system, painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware,
special doors, metal fabrications, toilet partitions and accessories,
signage, lockers, loading dock equipment, electrical, and heating,
ventilating, and air conditioning complete and ready for use. The
estimated construction cost range is $750,000 to $1,000,000.
Construction will be completed in multiple phases. Following award of
the contract, the initial Notice-to-Proceed will be only for the
parking lot construction on the small site across the alley from the
Post Office building with a performance period of 60 calendar days. The
Notice-to-Proceed for the remainder of the project will be issued
approximately May of 1999 with a performance period of 210 calendar
days. The solicitation package will be available on or about August 10,
1998, and may be obtained by remitting a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $75.00
per set. When ordering refer to Solicitation 072976-98-A-0250 and make
