The 18th Contracting Squadron supports the largest housing account in the Department of Defense with over 8,700 family housing units and the base infrastructure to support the largest combat wing in the Air Force, while expending half of Pacific Air Forces' construction budget. We are looking for vendors who have the capability to support our extensive annual requirements, who can provide a wide variety of items through established catalogs and streamlined ordering procedures, while delivering items directly to Okinawa. We require all items to be delivered though the US Mail system to our APO address or via commercial carrier directly to Okinawa with FOB destination pricing included. Contractors who cannot deliver all items via US Mail or commercial carriers directly to Okinawa shall not be considered. This delivery process shall be expedited to remedy one of the biggest hurdles to our mission, a slow government transportation system. Contractors who can provide these items at a good price while providing excellent delivery times directly to Okinawa have an outstanding chance of getting a large portion of our business. Additional best value considerations shall include speed of delivery, preferred pricing discounts based upon our size, extensiveness of product list, product availability, Internet or CD-ROM price lists, ease of ordering via phone (especially from a time zone 14 hours ahead), ability to return unused items, and delivery/inventory tracking systems. We currently have identified contractors that can provide such products with this type of service. We have set up blanket purchase agreements with these contractors and would like to expand our vendor base through additional blanket purchase agreements. The 18th Contracting Squadron is leading the Pacific in this initiative with numerous other bases following our lead. We have already begun to interface with numerous other Pacific bases to share our streamlined procurement methods. Interested contractors should send catalogs, price lists, delivery options and times, and other capabilities to: 18 CONS/LGCS Attn: Eagle Hardware BPA Team Unit 5199 APO AP 96368-5199 Direct questions via fax at 011-81-611-734-4795 or email at Garth.Arevalo@kadena.af.mil or Quentin.Blanchard@kadena.af.mil We encourage all contractors to visit our extensive Internet Business Opportunities Page that advertises our numerous individual requirements and is updated with new acquisitions every day.
