The Operational Contracting Division, Services Branch, at Kirtland Air Force Base is seeking sources who can provide all required personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and management required to perform services related to the cleaning/washing/ degreasing of parts in several vehicle maintenance facilities through out Kirtland AFB, NM. Mineral spirit solvents are used in the cleaning process. The proposed action will be a one-year effort with four one-year options. The SIC code for this acquisition is 7699 with size standard of $5 million. The Government reserves the right to consider this acquisition for the 8(a) program, Small Business, or HBCU/MI set-aside, based on responses to this synopsis. The Government will evaluate quotes received in response to this solicitation and may make an award without discussion. This will be a firm fixed-price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the project director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
