Q -- PSYCHIATRIST SOL RFQ 126-0011-9 DUE 092598 POC Randal Mills, Contracting Officer, (512) 304-0233 The Federal Correctional Institution, located 8 miles North East on State Highway 95, Bastrop, Texas, is seeking the services of a psychiatrist. The successful contractor will be required to provide professional medical services as a psychiatrist. The services will be performed on site at the Federal Correctional Institution, Bastrop, Texas and will be provided for convicted felons confined to the custody of the Attorney General of the United States. The contractor shall be required to operate a system of records as identified for medical treatment documents, for which the contractor shall adhere to the privacy act. The psychiatrist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients referred by FCI medical staff. All recommendations for further diagnostic testing and/or treatment will be made to the clinical director who will retain professional responsibility for patients referred. The contractor shall be required to perform services in the amount of 104 sessions per fiscal year. One session is equal to 4 continuous hours. Sessions will be scheduled during the regular work week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., in the amount of two (2) sessions per week. Sessions shall be performed at a mutually agreed upon time in in accordance with health services operations. The psychiatrist will also be available for twenty-four (24) hour, seven day a week emergency call service. The contractor responsible for performing these services must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States and board certified in the field of psychiatry. Offerors must submit photocopies of credentials with the submission of a price quotation. Requests for information shall be in writing and include the RFQ number. Solicitations will be available on or about August 25, 1998, with a receipt for quotes on or about September 25, 1998. The contract period will be from date of award (anticipated to be October 1, 1998) through September 30, 1999. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered.
