MTMC expects to award a fixed price requirements contract with a two year base and two one-year option periods. The base period of performance is anticipated to be 1 March 1999 through 28 February 2001. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, material and plant facilities, and perform all operations necessary to provide service incident to movement of designated Defense Transportation System (DTS) freight under the auspices of the 833d U.S. Army Transportation Battalion, Seattle, WA. Contractor's duties shall include: receiving, transferring, storing, stuffing, unstuffing seavans, loading/unloading trucks, trailers, railcars, and blocking, bracing, clerking, checking, segregating, staging, documenting and dispatching of freight associated with import and export operations.
