This is a presolicitation notice to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to accomplish work for "Camera Improvements" at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Nashville, Tennessee. A firm, fixed price contract will be awarded to a single prime contractor. Work encompasses restoration of total control and capabilities both electrical and video of the medical center's Closed Circuit Television system. Work includes installation of multiconductor cable and RF-485 cable (approximately 550 ') from camera equipment in the parking garage to the control room in the main building; reuse of existing cameras and monitors; expansion of component rack system; provide and install some new camera equipment and monitors; clean, adjust, and test existing camera equipment. Cost range is $100,000 to $250,000. All work is to be completed within 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1731. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 8/24/98. Bid opening is at 2:00 p.m. CST on 9/23/98 in Conference Room 1-G134 at the VA Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
