This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information provided in this notice. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1443RQ8120-98-019 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The standard classification code is 5211, small business size standard is $5.0 average annual gross revenue for the last 3 fiscal years. Contract line item 001 is for 1,025 pieces of 3"x 12" x 20' Douglas Fir, ACZA treated, Grade 2 or better, rough sawn lumber. Contract line item 002 is for 40 pieces of 4" x 4" x 10' redwood con common lumber. Contract line item 003 is for 80 pieces of 2" x 8' x 16' redwood con common lumber. Delivery shall be FOB destination, Pt. Huemene CBC Base, CA, 20 calendar days after award. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212.1 Instruction to Offerors-Commercial, 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items. The National Park Service will use the following factors to evaluate quotes, with each being of equal importance: A. Past Performance, and C. Price. Contractors should submit the quotes and past performance with their quotes. The Government reserves the right to make award of the initial quote received without discussions. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the RFQ which will be most advantageous to the Government, price and past performance considered. Parties wishing to respond to this RFQ should provide this office with the following: A price quote, submitted on your company letterhead or your standard company quotation forms, for the requested items showing RFQ number, unit price, extended price, FOB, prompt payment terms, delivery time, and correct address, and past performance information.
