contract will be awarded for an Indefinite Quantity of 10,000 3'x3'x12'
gabions; 2,500 3'x3'x6'gabions; and 4,000 1'x6'x10'gabions and
indefinite quantity of 200 rolls of 18'x200' geotextile filter fabric
in compliance with New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT)
specifications. Gabions shall be made of galvanized steel wire having
a minimum size of U.S. Steel Wire Gage No. 11. The maximum linear
dimension of the mesh opening shall not exceed 4-1/2 inches and the
area of the mesh opening shall not exceed 9 square inches. Also
included shall be the manufacturer's recommended fastening system, as
well as corner stiffeners and stability hardware. Geotextile materials
shall be a non-woven fabric, and are intended for placement beneath
galvanized gabion baskets along beach revetments. It is expected that
the material will be delivered on rolls. Delivery of both items shall
be made within two (2) weeks after award of Delivery Orders placed
during the life of the contract and delivered to the Mount Morris Dam
Site, Mt. Morris, Livingston County, NY. SIC CODE: 3496. (AC0812019-03)
