The Office of Law Enforcement Technology Commercialization (OLETC) was established by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) to assist in the commercialization and utilization of U.S. technology and innovation for use by the Law Enforcement and Corrections (LEC) community. OLETC is a non-profit organization, located on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University. OLETC is currently working on the Multi-Purpose Launcher (MPL), which is in a family of less than lethal kinetic energy weapons designed around a unique patented launching system. The MPL offers the LEC community a series of valuable less than lethal tools. The product has been developed, designed, and prototyped to an advanced stage. OLETC is currently seeking a commercial partner to license or purchase the patented technology. Those interested should have the ability to manufacture and distribute a low cost product to the LEC market place.
