The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division is soliciting information concerning new technologies and innovations that will lead to or enable revolutionary advances in state-of-the-art products in the field of automatic target recognition (ATR) algorithms for identifying aircraft. Candidate algorithms for ATR should be able to identify targets using passive visible and/or infrared images along with laser radar returns. The algorithms should specialize on poorly resolved targets with little clutter or background. This solicitation for information is a statement of willingness to consider opportunities to enter into potential joint ventures, partnering or business arrangements with the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). Information sources are requested to submit a brief descriptive synopsis of their company's history, capabilities and a list of examples demonstrating the type of subject matter areas or market competence. NAWCAD encourages industry, academia, government and military commands to collaborate with us in partnering to maximize our customer support efforts.
