(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is SP4700-98-Q-0008. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-05. (iv) This solicitation is not a set-aside. The standard industrial code is 7011 and the small business size standard is $5.0 million. Location: San Antonio, TX. Dates: March 25,1999 through April 2, 1999. 350-400 persons attending. Guestrooms/lodging needed for 350-400 people. Government per diem rate required. One large meeting room (hold 350-400 people). Six breakout rooms (hold 75 people each) 2 designated for computer demos. Copier equipment and service on site. Microphones (lavaliere style, hand-held, & on podium). Computer projection system. Overhead projector and screen. White board (copy capability) Three (3) telephones (incoming & outgoing lines) Modem line. Electrical power/outlets for seven (7) computers in each of the two breakout rooms. Food and beverage requirements- reception (one night) heavy hors d'oeuvres & musical entertainment, continental breakfast (3 days), breaks- coffee and soda (3 days), catered lunch (2 days).
