Q -- NEPHROLOGY SERVICES FOR ESRD PATIENTS SOL 502-28-98 DUE 091198 POC Bernice Griffin (318) 473-0010 X 22240 or Carol Robertson (318)473-0010 X 2234 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Alexandria LA intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Freedman Clinic of Internal Medicine, 1337 Centre Court, Alexandria LA, for consultation and maintenance care of ESRD referrals. The Mutual Use Sharing Agreement will provide Nephrologist services for veterans diagnosed with ESRD who require dialysis to maintain life. Services will be provided at the contractor's office, Biomedical Applications Dialysis Centers or local civilian hospitals for an estimated 10 patients per year. Specialized medical services for ESRD patients are not available at this medical center and Freedman Clinic has the only nephrologist(s) within a 30 mile range with the required expertise and credentials.
