Q -- SELECTED RESERVE DENTAL SERVICES -- EXERCISE OF FIRST OPTION PERIOD This is the government's notice to all interested parties of its intention to exercise option period one under contract MDA906-97-D-0002, a requirements contract, with Humana Military Healthcare Services, Inc. The first option period is from October 1, 1998, through September 30, 1999. The services to be provided are in support of the TRICARE Selected Reserve Dental Program. The program is for all eligible members of the Selected Reserve of the Uniformed Services within the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The current edition of the American Dental Association's Current Dental Terminology Second Edition (CDT-2) is incorporated into this contract to describe the scope of services allowable as a Plan benefit, subject to explicit requirements, limitations, and exclusions in the contract. No deductible shall apply and the applicable dental procedures are included in the contract. CLIN 1002 -- based on an estimated 209,000 enrollees per month at an estimated annual amount of $15,900,720.00 will be exercised under option period one in accordance with contract clauses FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, 52.216-18, Ordering, 52.216-19, Order Limitations, and 52.216-21, Requirements.
