synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION
AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation Number:
F44600-98-Q0584. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation
(RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06.
(iv) Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 7699 applies with a
Size Standard of 1000 employees. (v) Line item 0001: Refurbish 24 each
A-2 Brunswick Pinsetters. (vi) Refurbishment to include the following
parts and equipment: Rake, deck, ball returns turret, gear box,
detector, electrical, elevator, conveyor, and pit assemblies, to make
proper adjustments on all 24 pinsetters and troubleshoot operation of
24 pinsetters. Contractor to also provide technical advise and
assistance on AS90 Automatic Scoring System, and provide on the job
training to Bowling Alley Center Staff. All
refurbishment/repairs/replacements must be in compliance with
Brunswick, ABC, and WIBC Bowling Standards. Contractor must be
Brunswick certified. (vii) All work must be completed onsite. (viii)
The provision at FAR 52.121-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial
Items, applies to this acquisition. (ix) The provision at FAR 52.121-2,
Evaluation of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The
following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Offeror will
furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, and
transportation necessary to tear down, inspect, quote, and repair of
these items. (x) All offerors are advised to include a filled out copy
of the provision at FAR 52.2213-3, Offeror Representation and
Certifications Commercial Items, with your offer (available upon
request). (xi) FAR clause 52.121-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items plies to this acquisition. (xii) FAR clause
52.121-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues
Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
(xiii) Wage Determination Number 94-2543 REV (19) Area: VA will apply
to this acquisition. (xiv) All work to carry a 1 year warranty to
include parts and labor. (xv) The Defense Priorities and Allocation
System is not applicable to this acquisition. (xvi) Commerce Business
Daily numbered notes does not apply to this solicitation. (xvii)
