Television(SRTV) has a requirement for on-site audio equipment
maintenance. Service will be performed at 2320 Mills Road, Alexandria,
Va. Equipment is located in individual editing and recording studios.
SRTV currently has 5 audio recording studios, 3 video recording
suites, 1 viedo recording studio, 1 audio automation studio,
video/audio distribution and duplication rooms and offices. All
equipment will be repaired and maintained on site. All equipmentwill be
maintained to meet existing and future National Association of
Broadcasters standards. Contractor shall provide full installation and
engineering assistance and services for new and replacement equipment.
These services will include but not limited to updating of equipment,
in house wiring and cable diagram, operational testins, alignments,
interfacing of new and replacement equipment, provide on-site
operational guideline and updates of new and replacement equipment.
Contractor shall provide on-site engineering services when SRTV
engineering staff is off-site, on leave or TDY. Equipment to be
serviced will include but not limited to the following:SONY and TASCAM
CD players and recording equipment, YAMAH special effects generators
and recorders, NAKAMICHI recorders, OTARI reel to reel and cart
recorder/players, audio editors, AMEK mixing boards, Broadcast
Electronics CORE 2000 audio automation system, cart players/recorders,
TECHNICS turntables and amplifiers, ATI, TEKTRONICS, SIGMA,
AUDIOTECHNICA test and monitoring equipment. The equipment may vary up
or down during the contract period. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with
Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This solicitation is issued as a request for quote(RFQ). The
solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in
effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. IT is
anticipated the resulting order will be awarded to only one source and
the proposed contract action is for maintenance under he authority of
FAR 6.1 (FAC 84-5). The anticipated contract action will be a base
year and four(4)options years. Period of performance is from 1 October
1998 through 30 September 1999.The following Federal Acquisition

20310-5200. Quotes shall be received by 1:00 P.M. 4 September 1998.
