The work to be performed under this acquisition consists of stabilizing the shorelines of seven islands by various methods. Access to the islands will be across the frozen lake surface. The work includes earthwork and construction for (1) approximately 1100 linear feet of rock dike, (2) 575 linear feet of dumped riprap, (3) 2350 linear feet of riprap revetment, (4) 250 linear feet of revegetation revetment, and (5) 2835 linear feet of riprap windrow. The estimated price range of the work is $100,001 to $250,000. The work is located near Coleharbor in McClean County North Dakota. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available 09/15/98. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before 10/01/98. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10/15/98, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway Avenue, Bismarck, North Dakota. The contract is to be completed within approximately 105 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be veiwed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana, or Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway Avenue, Bismarck, North Dakota.
