Floyd, Contracting Officer, (850) 882-3954, ext. 648 This notice serves as both a sources sought synopsis and a solicitation (procurement) synopsis for technical support of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). The U.S. Government intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Company to perform follow-on efforts for the technical support of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). The effort consists of providing technical support to AMRAAM production in various areas of systems engineering, software, test, aircraft integration, and logistics for the Air Force, Navy and FMS countries. This acquisition requires the type knowledge that could only be gained by years of experience in applying skills to the specific AMRAAM missile design. Specific and detailed knowledge and experience is required with AMRAAM software, missile design, special test assets, U.S. Government simulation facilities and aircraft integration. The project is anticipated to begin in January 1999 with one year of basic effort and two one-year options. THE DATE FOR RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS 16 SEP 98. Date of solicitation is on or about 1 Oct 98; date of closing/response is on or about 2 Nov 98. This acquisition is contemplated as sole source under authority of FAR 6.203-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements (10 USC 2304(c)(1)) to Raytheon Systems Company, P.O.
