at (202) 433-4345. The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk
Detachment Washington has a requirement for American Sign Language
(ASL)interpretation services. The interpreter will interpret between
English and ASL for one deaf computer specialist at the Washington Navy
Yard. Services will be provided for eight (8) hours every Tuesday and
Thursday, and for four (4) hours every Wednesday and Friday during the
period from 01 October 1998 through 30 September 1999. Work involves
interpretation for occasional meetings, training and contact with
customers. If more than two hours of continuous interpretation is
required, the contractor shall provide an additional interpreter. The
Government may require the interpreter to provide training for
beginning ASL students. The evaluation process will include an
interview for all offerors within the competitive range. Award will be
made to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the RFQ and is
determined to be the lowest price among those offerors rated technical
acceptable. The Request for Quotation will be issued approximately 21
August 1998 and the quote will be due on 11 September 1998. Offerors
must be available for an interview during the period 15-22 September
