W -- LEASE OF HEIDELBERG PRESS(ES) 2 EACH MODEL DI46-4 POC Jerry Lambert, Contract Specialist, (910) 432-6978, Jane Sutherlin, Contracting Officer, (910) 432-2146, or FAX (910) 432-9345 This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract, on a sole source basis with Heidelberg USA, Inc., 1000 Gutenberg Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144, to lease for a 12 month period starting 1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999 two (2)each Heidelberg DI46-4 Printing Presses. The lease will include delivery, installation, Set-Up, Operator/Maintenance Training, start-up materials (no ink), and 12 month warranty(parts and labor). Offerors who can furnish the same items/service(s) listed above may submit, in writing, a proposal substaniated by technical data, brochures, pictures,...etc. to include pricing (FOB Designation). All responses must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this CBD notice. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopisis on intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed with resulting award under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this synopsis will be considered if the action is competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
