Prime contractor required to provide labor, materials and equipment necessary to rehabilitate mechanical/electrical systems in basement and three floors of Bldg.77 at NASA LeRC. The work includes demolition of portions of building interior with existing systems, abatement of lead and asbestos, and installation of new sprinkler, fire alarm, HVAC, lighting, ceiling and other support systems. A fixed price contract is contemplated. The construction cost estimate is between $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. Period of performance is 360 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed, tentatively 01-04-99. This is an unrestricted procurement and all responsible sources may submit a sealed bid which will be considered by the agency. Release of the Invitation for Bids (IFB) is tentatively 09-28-98, site showing 10-13-98 and opening of bids 11-12-98. All prospective bidders shall notify this office before 09-18-98 to be placed on mailing list to receive copy of IFB.
