The work consists of blasting and painting tainter gates; blasting and painting trunnions; furnishing and installing new side seal assemblies and new anodes; replacing damaged and corroded structural members; grinding structural members; heating and straightening structural members; power tool and completely paint machinery covers, decks and spillway bridge substructures; and blasting, repairing, and painting stop logs. Machinery covers, decks, and spillway bridge substructures will require lead-based paint removal. Estimated magnitude of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Issue date for solicitation will be on or about September 9, 1998 at a cost of $33.05 for solicitation and full size drawings; $40.40 for solicitation and half size drawings; and $16.25 for solictation only (all charges are nonrefundable).
