Z -- RENOVATION OF THREE COMPARTMENT GREENHOUSE, TIFTON, GA SOL RFQ-027-4384-98 DUE 092498 POC Pat Lang, Procurement Assistant, (706)546-3533) Alan Moore, Contracting Officer, (706) 546-3533 This project is the renovation of the weed science greenhouse in Tifton, Georgia. The scope of work includes providing new equipment to provide new space conditioning and the removal of existing equipment not being utilized. Mechanical demolition includes the removal of the existing furnaces, evaporative cooling pads, circulation pumps and piping distribution, removal of the existing gas lines serving the furnaces, and the existing sumps serving the evaporative cooling system. Electrical demolition includes the removal of a pole, weatherhead, meter and meter base, disconnect and panelboard. All of the existing service shall be demolished leaving the existing secondaries intact for other buildings for connection of new work. The existing greenhouses consist of convenience power, lighting, power servicing mechanical equipment, and conduit and conductors associated with this equipment. New work includes providing new horizontal unit heaters, horizontal air flow fans, evaporative cooling system including pads, sump, etc., in each of the three bays of the greenhouse. Also included is the installation of new posts, shafts, and power racks to allow automatic operation of the side vents. Install a new meter on a new wood pole. Provide a new 225 amp main breaker panelboard on exterior of adjacent building and route underground to greenhouse. Install new Wadsworth Step 50A controller (1 per bay) and all associated electrical for mechanical equipment and make all connections as required.
