Naval Special Warfare Group One intends to issue a Request For
Quotation for the fabrication of Dry Cages. The following is the
statement of work for the fabrication of Dry Cages: The Contractor
shall fabricate expanded metal panel sections in a metal angle iron
framework that can be bolted together easily for assembly and
disassembly. These panels will be assembled to construct a secure Dry
Cages. The Contractor shall provide all necessary materials and labor
to fabricate the panel sections. The Contractor shall fabricate 260ea
front panels and 272ea sidepanels. Panel description: The front panel
dimension shall be 4ft wide by 7ft high with a door 30"wide by 80"
high. The front panel door shall have hinges to open outward, a loop
type door handle made of 3/8" round stock, a device to attach a padlock
for locking, and a door stop to prevent the door from being push
inward. The side panel dimension shall be 4ft wide by 7ft high. The
expanded metal shall be of 16 gauge minimum and the frame shall be
constructed using 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/8" thick angle iron at a minimum. The
frames of both type panels shall have pre-drilled holes to attach the
side panels to the front panels, so that the front panels can be
attached to each other end to end. After fabrication, the entire panel
shall be galvanized dipped. Sketch for additional details and drilled
holes location available upon demand. Quoters must provide standard
commercial materials with their quote demonstrating the quoted product
meets all specifications contained in this synopsis. A single award
shall be made to the technically acceptable, low cost, responsible
quoter. Only technically acceptable quotes from responsible concerns
will be considered. If there is a standard commercial warranty
associated with the above item, the Quoter must provide the Government
at least the same warranty terms offered to the general public in
customary commercial practice. The request for quotation will be issued
on 20 Aug 98. The closing date is 03 Sep 98. Quote should include the

The Dry Cages are commercial items. Commercial procedures as outlined
in FAR Part 12 and in conjuntion with FAR 13 are applicable. Note 1.
