Young, Phone 573/364-4621, Ext. 470; fax 573/341-7475 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. FS-WOC-98-58 is being issued by the USDA Forest Service as a Request for Quotations. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will be awarded based on responses to this solicitation. The solicitation consists of one item. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns; SIC 5032. A firm is considered small if it has less than 100 employees. This project is to furnish and tailgate spread 1 1/2" minus screened aggregate on designated roads on the Doniphan/Eleven Point Ranger District. Aggregate furnished shall meet the following requirements: 100% passing a 1 1/2" sieve; 20-80% passing a 3/4" sieve; 10-20% passing a #4 sieve; 0-5% passing a #100 sieve. Item 1 -- Doniphan/Eleven Point Ranger District, Estimated Quantity 3,200 yards. Minimum quantity -- 2,720 yards; maximum quantity -- 3,680 yards. Quotes should be submitted on a per yard basis. Contract time will be from date of award through 12/30/98 and delivery orders will be issued as needed. A delivery time will be established for each delivery order issued. The time will be figured at a rate of 1 day per 50 yards ordered based on a five day week. The provisions at: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror -- Commerical Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes for Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
