Hurlburt Field intends to enter into a sole-source contract with Woodtronics, a division of Ceraln, of South Williamsport, PA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304(c)(1) -- only one responsible source. The government requires various workstations and command center furniture that will allow the back and front portions of the workstations to be set to different heights independently. Additional features of the requirement are for heat displacement, cable management, and sweep grommets. The components are required to be interchangeable with the existing Woodtronics furniture that is currently installed. The new components will be required to be identical to existing to allow reconfigurations between two operations at the least cost and with minimum disruptions to normal functions. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfillthe requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. Firms responding to this synopsis should reference the solicitation number and indicate whether they are a small or small-disadvantaged business as defined by FAR 52.219.
