There are currently four different models of these chargers that have between four and six capacitors per unit installed. The batteries chargers are currently located at Hill AFB, but the work shall not be performed on Hill AFB. CEC Environmental is currently performing the same effort under a recently awarded contract for 125 units. The purchase order will be issued to CEC Environmental because of the duplication of costs to the government to certify that a new source meets the requirements to perform decontamination of battery chargers, and the administration costs and government resources required to solicit and manage a separate contract for the same ongoing effort. Any interested partiesmust respond within 15 calendar days from publication of this notice with the following: (a) description of your company, (b) scope and definition of capabilities, (c) whether your company is a small business or in the 8(a) program, and (d) copies of appropriate EPA permits for handling and disposing of hazardous materials. This synopsis is for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
