PURCHASE ITEM DESCRIPTION (PID),7021-01-432-4352, DESKTOP COMPUTER AND REQUIRED SOFTWARE 1.SCOPE. This PID covers the general requirements for a desktop computer and required software. 2.SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Design and Construction. Desktop computer and accessories supplied to this PID shall be as specified herein 3. 0 Hardware Requirements: 3.1 Processor. Each computer shall have a minimum of 266 megahertz Pentium II processor with cooling fan.3.2 Monitor Each computer shall be supplied with, as a minimum, a 15 inch, .28mm Dot Pitch, Non-interlaced, SVGA(1280X1024) color monitor. 3.3 Memory. Each computer shall have a minimum of 32 megabytes RAM expandable to 128 megabytes.3.4 Cache. Each computer shall have a minimum of 512 kilobytes of secondary cache memory.3.5Graphics Card. Each computer shall have as a minimum a 64 bit SVGA card with 2 megabyte Video Ram(1280 x 1024 capable).3.6 Hard Drive. Each computer shall have as a minimum a 3.2 gigabyte hard drive.3.7 Floppy Drive. Each computer shall have installed a 1.44 megabyte 3.5 inch floppy disk drive.3.8 CD-Rom. Each computer shall have installed a CD-ROM drive with a minimum of 24X speed.3.9 Keyboard. Each computer shall come with, as a minimum, a full-size 104 key keyboard (Windows 95 compatible).3.10 Mouse. Each computer shall come with a serial mouse with a minimum of 2 buttons.3.11 Slots.
